XiaomiDevices – On December 31, 2021, Xiaomi in China officially started marketing its newest flagship mobile phone, the Xiaomi 12.
This cellphone is the first Xiaomi-made series to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset as the kitchen runway.
This one cellphone is a flagship cellphone which is quite tempting to have, especially for premium cellphone connoisseurs.

Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, the Xiaomi 12 will be a very fast flagship device for now because the chipset has been made through 4nm fabrication processing so that it is possible to devour various applications and heavy games.
This is evident through the collaboration between the CPU and GPU embedded in this device which is claimed to increase graphics rendering by up to 30 percent while reportedly saving battery life of up to 25 percent.
On the other hand, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset is also equipped with 7th generation Artificial Intelligence (Al) technology which is claimed to work five times better than the previous generation. Even Xiaomi 12 has also been supported by a cooling system through a copper plate and heat-dissipating graphite inside the body.
Thus battery life will be more optimal even though you are being forced to work to run applications or heavy games. Especially for just doing multitasking activities such as surfing on social media, chatting, video calling, SMS, and others.
A battery with a capacity of 4,500mAh has also been embedded in the body of the device. Plus, if you run out of power, there is a 67W fast charging feature so the battery can be fully charged without spending a long time if it’s really needed.
Wireless charging is also supported with 50W power and this cellphone can also be a power bank by simply sticking another device on the back to charge the battery with 10W power.
While the RAM and internal storage offered in the Xiaomi 12 is also fairly varied, which is available in three capacity variants which include 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage.
Photography is also an important factor why Xiaomi 12 should be looked at because it offers three rear cameras which include a 50 MP main lens with Sony IMX 766 sensor support and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a 13 MP wide-angle lens, and a 5 MP telemacro lens.
This combination of resolution and lens will be able to produce good and clear photos because it is equipped with several features such as HDR and panorama. Likewise, video recording is capable of recording up to 8K resolution at 24fps with HDR10 and 4K at 30fps with HDR10+.
Not to mention the screen features that are presented are able to spoil the eye. With a 6.28-inch span, the Xiaomi 12 has an AMOLED panel, provides Full HD + resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels), 1,100 nits brightness, 12-bit color, HDR10 +, and is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
When the index finger selects and moves content on the screen, it will also feel smooth because it is supported by a 120Hz refresh rate. Then also the display and sound when watching videos and movies will feel real through the Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos certifications.
Lack
As sophisticated as a flagship device is, it is certain that there are still shortcomings that may begin to be felt if one of the features we are used to is not owned by the cellphone.
Like the absence of an audio jack which is still widely used by mobile phone users to connect earphones or headsets. The microSD slot or external storage is also removed by Xiaomi on this cellphone.
Although Xiaomi has brought the largest variant, it is possible that the storage capacity will be full so users must prepare other alternatives such as moving data to other media or to cloud storage.
