XiaomiDevices – Along with the launch of the Xiaomi 12 series cellphone, don’t forget to introduce the latest interface from Xiaomi called MIUI 13.
As reported from Gizmochina, Xiaomi through MIUI 13 specifically presents it for three device segments which include MIUI 13 for mobile phones, MIUI 13 Pad for tablets, and MIUI 13 Fold for folding phones.
As the successor of MIUI 12, it is reported that the MIUI 13 interface does not provide many updates that are so big. However, MIUI 13 offers some interesting new features.
MIUI 13 for mobile gets seven new features which include MiSans Font, Widget, new Wallpaper, Xiao Al Virtual Assistant, Privacy, Optimization, and Mi Magic Center. As for tablets, MIUI 13 brings updates to aspects of multitasking, keyboard, stylus pen, and app compatibility.
New Feature Row MIUI 13
MiSans . Fonts
Through MIUI 13, Xiaomi gave birth to a new font known as MiSans which is claimed to be a simple font optimized for Chinese and English in order to offer clear and comfortable readability.
The MiSans font at a glance has a firm shape at the top and bottom of every letter, whether it’s in Chinese, English, or numbers. This font itself is reportedly already available on the MIUI theme for the China region running the previous version of MIUI.
Widgets
The Widget feature in MIUI 13 doesn’t just appear. Since August 2021, this feature has been carefully developed by Xiaomi to give a fresh look to its users. According to Gizmochina, the Widgets in MIUI tend to be similar to Vivo’s OriginOS Ocean and OPPO’s ColorOS 12.
In addition to Widgets for the home page of the phone and its menu icons, Xiaomi also offers widgets for displaying mini-games, countdown counters, reminders to drink water, suggestions of what to eat today, and much more.
Wallpapers
Previously, if you look back, MIUI 12 has presented live wallpapers via MIUI Super Wallpaper. Now MIUI 13 specifically collaborates with Beauty of Science to provide a number of unique wallpapers.
This wallpaper displays the crystal structure of various minerals taken from a polarizing microscope camera captured at 8K resolution in time lapse. Just like the MiSans font, Beauty of Science Wallpaper can already be downloaded in China.
Xiao Al Virtual Assistant
By using the latest technology in MIUI 13 called Xiao Al Virtual Assistant which relies on Artificial Intelligence (AI), we can create avatars at will according to each other’s personalization. Plus this feature provides as many as 50 clothes and accessories.
Privacy
For the convenience of privacy, MIUI 13 has new features in the form of virtual ID and updates to the facial authentication system. Previously, if the system could only move the face, now the system can scan the upper body which is useful for scanning more data. The privacy system in MIUI 13 can also protect users from spam calls or texts to malicious apps and file transfers.
Optimization
Optimization MIUI 13 offers the latest technology for performance optimization in terms of computing (Focus Computation), memory (Atomic Memory), and internal storage (Liquid Storage). The three technologies that were first released in MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition are claimed to be able to make system applications run up to 20 percent smoother and third-party applications 26 percent faster.
Mi Magic Center
Thanks to the new Mi Magic Center, users can manage Xiaomi ecosystem products in one place. In addition, Mi Magic Center is capable of transmitting screen content or music from one device to another by simply dragging the content. However this feature is only available on certain compatible Xiaomi devices.

In the first quarter of 2022, MIUI 13 will be available on several devices including Mi 11, Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11i, Mi 11X Pro, Mi 11X, Xiaomi 11T Pro, Xiaomi 11T, Mi 11 Lite, Mi 11 Lite 5G, Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE, Xiaomi 11 Lite NE, Xiaomi Pad 5, Redmi 10, Redmi 10 Prime, Redmi Note 8 (2021), Redmi Note 10 Pro, Redmi Note 10 Pro Max, Redmi Note 10, and Redmi Note 10 JE.
MIUI 13 Pad
MIUI 13 Pad provides an update on multitasking performance in the form of additional support for application windows that can be resized as needed. MIUI 13 Pad also allows Xiaomi devices to be connected to each other.
On the S Pen keyboard and stylus, the MIUI 13 Pad now has default and custom shortcuts. MIUI 13 Pad has also adopted as many as 3,000 applications that can be accessed on Xiaomi tablets. Meanwhile, the devices that will receive the MIUI 13 Pad include the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro and Xiaomi Pad 5 at the end of January 2022 and the Xiaomi Pad 5 in the first quarter of 2022.
